Niuean and Tongan community members aged 12 years and over are being encouraged to get their COVID-19 vaccination shots at two locations in Auckland for special vaccination drive-ins.
From 9-11 September, the Tongan community can head to the SUTT Tuingapapai in Favona Road Māngere from 8:30am-4pm
For the Niuean community the drive through event will be held on Thursday 23rd September 8am-6pm, Friday & Saturday 24th & 25th September, 8am-4.30pm, 15 Robertson Road, Favona, Mangere.
The vaccination drive-ins are being held to encourage Pacific People to get vaccinated. Pacific Peoples are approximately 12 percent behind European/Other vaccination rates by population and almost 25 percent behind the Asian population, according to the latest Ministry of Health figures and the 2018 census population figures.
